One of my passions are cars. I love everything about them and love learning about them. I like to work on cars and see cars go fast. One of my dream cars to own is a 8-second 2jz Mark 4 supra.
Just this week I believe I have done a lot to prepare myself for my future. I have gotten more information about the Marines. I took the PICAT and got a good score so I am going to go to take the ASVAB this Thursday and then going to get my physical next Tuesday. Joining the Marines is something I have looked forward for a long time. Once I graduate high school, my leave to boot camp is estimated to be in August or September. I am joining with a friend and are supposed to be in boot camp together. I have to choose 3 jobs I got offered from many fields and my 3 choices were: 1) Mechanic on diesel trucks 2) Aircraft Mechanic and 3) Engineer in Construction or Infantry Sniper.
10 Keys to Personal Power Brian Tracy Key 1: C larity "Have a vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going." Reflection: I think that being clear about what you want to do is something that'll give you an advantage to yourself and your progress. When you know what your goal is, you'll know what you have to do to achieve it. Also, when you have a goal, you aren't spending and wasting your time trying to figure out what your goal is. This quote is great because it clearly shows that when you are not clear about your path, you will be wasting your time and not being as progressive as you should be. Being a productive person requires you to have goals to maintain a path that has achievements ahead and not have negative consequences. Successful people set goals to remind themselves that they are always doing...
The Power of Resourcefulness Jennifer Witterick Reflection: I learned that how she explains that we get resourcefulness from ourselves. There is no place we can go look for it, buy it becuase its inside us. The example she used was helping baby chicks break out of an egg vs letting them go through the rough experience on their own. The results were that the ones who were help ended up being weaker and those who did it on their own, were stronger and lived more long. This shows us that we don't always need other peoples help through rough times. We need to learn how to be patient and have inner strength to overcome challenges on our own. This will make us a stronger person overall because we will get trained to be independent and know how to overcome obsticles. A few recources withing me include: patient, self-motivation, consistant, confident, independent, responsible, determined, overcomming, discipline, enthusiasm, obedience, friendly , coopeeration, diligence, s...
